Barça beats Valencia with last minute Busquets goalDecember 1, 2014
Barcelona travelled to Valencia on Sunday hoping for another win after Real Madrid’s 16th consecutive victory kept them at the top of the league. However, it was only thanks to a last minute goal from Busquets that saved the Catalans from slipping further behind their arch rival in the league table.
Although the first half was fast and Barcelona dominated possession, neither side created any many real opportunities although Bravo saved a shot from Rodrigo as Valencia went on the offensive followed shortly after by what looked like a sure thing by Suarez that was saved.
Valencia was more aggressive after the break and came close to going ahead, with Pique clearing the ball off the line and Bravo called upon to make a couple of saves. Suarez was providing plenty of action for Barcelona and looked like he had put the Catalans ahead only to have it ruled offside. As the clock ticked down it looked increasingly like the match would end in a goalless draw, but finally in the last minute of injury time Neymar got his head to the ball off Messi. Busquets met the rebound and put it into the net for a last minute win for Barcelona.
