Comfortable win against GetafeNovember 2, 2015
Suarez and Neymar scored a goal apiece on Saturday night to comfortably beat Getafe in Madrid. Both were assisted by Sergi Roberto and the result means each player has scored seven goals since Leo Messi’s enforced absence through injury. The match also saw Iniesta play for the first time since September after time off through injury.
The home side came close to going ahead when Stefan Scepovic shot wide from the centre of the box after 11 minutes. It was Barcelona that controlled the match though and while the team is sometimes unable to use that control to good use their work finally paid of after 36 minutes. Suarez scored the opener after Roberto back-heeled him the ball off a Neymar cross.
The second goal of the match came 13 minutes after the break, when Neymar beat the Getafe keeper off a Roberto cross. His ninth goal of the season puts him at the top of the high scorer’s list for La Liga this year, with all nine goals being scored in the Spanish League. Soon after this second goal Getafe made a substitution followed soon after by Iniesta coming on in place of Munir.
