Getafe hold Barça to goalless draw

Getafe held Barcelona to a goalless draw on Sunday when they visited Camp Nou. It was Barça’s first league match this season in which they failed to score. And only some nifty hand work by Ter Stegen in the last minute of play prevented the end of Barça’s La Liga unbeaten streak.

Barcelona controlled the pace of the match throughout and the recently signed Yerry Mina came close to scoring with his head twice in the space of a couple of minutes. His first was off a Messi assist with 15 minutes remaining, which was saved. The second, off a Dembele cross, went wide. Not bad considering it was his league debut for FC Barcelona.

The result sees Barcelona’s lead over Atletico Madrid slip to seven points after their second successive draw. The Catalans are 17 points ahead of fourth place Real Madrid.
