La Liga 2012/2013 – standing after week 17

December 24, 2012

FC Barcelona ended the year having dropped just two points in the entire league but remain 9 points ahead of Atletico Madrid and a whopping 16 points ahead of Real Madrid, where coach Jose Mourinho is displaying his usual bizarre behaviour when under pressure and creating conflict inside his own club. It remains to be seen how long he will be tolerated at Madrid before surely parting ways, yet again. But who would want to take him on with his reputation? Well, probably some club will.
