Luis Suarez scores twice in win against LeganesNovember 20, 2017
Luis Suarez scored a goal either side of the break to help secure another win for FC Barcelona on Saturday when they visited Butarque stadium to face Leganes. Paulinho added a third goal right on the 90 minute mark for a comfortable win for the Catalans, who dominated possession throughout much of the match.
In fact the score could have been higher, with Suarez putting the ball into the back of the Leganes net early in the first half. However Jordi Alba was ruled to have been offside and so the goal was disallowed. But then 28 minutes in Suarez found the net from close range to score the opener. It was his first goal in a month.
Barça looked less dominant early in the second half though. However fresh faces on the pitch in the shape of Aleix Vidal and Paulinho who came on for Semedo and Iniesta quickly saw results when Suarez scored his second right on the hour. Paulinho scored Barça’s third in the closing minutes of the game to secure three points.

The win leaves Barcelona sitting very comfortably at the top of the table. Four points behind them is Valencia, the team they face next Sunday. But Barcelona is now ten points ahead of both Real and Atletico Madrid, who played a goalless draw on Saturday. On Wednesday Barcelona faces Juventus in the Champions League group stage.
