Mathieu header gives Barça narrow victory against CeltaApril 7, 2015
FC Barcelona faced Celta de Vigo on Sunday as Lluis Enrique travelled to his former club for the first time since leaving them last summer to take over as Barça manager.
With a wet pitch meaning both sides struggled to really get going, Celta were effective in stopping Barcelona from making the most of the chances they created thanks to dominating possession and Celta did manage to create some good opportunities too.
Neymar put the ball into the Celta net early in the second half only to see it disallowed for offside, but Xavi set up Mathieu in the 71st minute to head the ball home for the only goal of the match. The match turned slightly surreal with a couple of minutes to go when a red card was shown to Orellano after he threw a lump of turf at Busquets for taking too much time over a free kick.
0-1 Mathieu (min 71)
