Barça beats Bayern Munich 3-0 in close fought battleMay 7, 2015
Barcelona went a long way to achieving their ambition of a place in the Champions League final after beating Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich 3-0.
The match was fast a furious right from the start with both teams looking to score early. With possession fairly evenly matched though neither side was able to do enough and the first half ended goalless.
Back on after the break it was more of the same and as the match entered the last quarter hour it was looking increasingly like all would be decided next week in Germany. However, when Messi put the ball home fifteen minutes from the end suddenly things looked decidedly better, especially when, three minute later, he scored again. The icing on the cake was an injury time goal from Neymar and a result take the Catalans one step closer to their place in the final.
1-0 Messi (min 75)
2-0 Messi (min 78)
3-0 Neymar (min 92)
