Madrid dominates to take Spanish Supercup

August 17, 2017

Barcelona’s dream of overturning a 3-1 advantage at the Santiago Bernabeu ended last night with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid. The two legs of the Spanish Supercup saw the Catalans overwhelmingly defeated, with a 5-1 aggregate score. After the pre-season friendlies fans might have expected something better. However, as in the home leg, Madrid scored early and extended their lead towards the first half, while Barça were simply unable to score.

Next up is the first match of the Spanish league, played at Camp Nou on Sunday against Betis.

1-0 Asensio (min 4)
2-0 Benzema (min 39)
